The rate of suicides in the United States among our Military, Gold Star Families, and First Responders has been increasing for many years.
PTSD, traumatic incidents, ongoing stress, and lack of social support can all contribute to the increase in a person feeling alone, sad and with few options.
The mission at Buddy Up K9 is to give this segment of our population a reason greater than themselves to get up everyday. Not every person needs a service dog or an emotional support animal. Sometimes all a person needs is a buddy. Another living thing to share a day with, share a moment, share the couch, share their thoughts and feelings.
